The Durabook Rugged Field Pro is the ideal rugged notebook for mobile professionals including military, police, fire, ems, construction, utility, transportation, aviation, and marine workers wanting power, performance and security all in a rugged design.
As with all Durabooks, the D-S14M is built tough to survive under real world conditions. The Durabook Rugged Field Pro is designed with a magnesium alloy case to protect the system's vital components from damage due to drop and shock. The Durabook's anti-shock mounting design protects the device's LCD and hard drive from damage and data loss. The Durabook Rugged Field Pro notebook's spill resistant design protects the sensitive interior components from accidental spills. The unit also includes input/output port rubber caps to provide for dust resistance.
The Durabook Rugged Field Pro is powered by the Intel Montevina technology providing for performance boost and power management. The D-S14M features a 14.1” WXGA High Definition display with graphic resolution up to 1366X768 (Sunlight Viewable Touchscreen display optional). The on-screen graphics is driven by the Intel GM45 Integrated Graphics which supports shared system memory up to 1759MB.
Standard features in the Durabook Rugged Field Pro include a smart card reader and TPM 1.2 technology that help secure important data. The D-S14M also includes a LED lighted keyboard, four USB 2.0 ports, a HDMI port, and a RS232 serial port. System options include a Bluetooth 2.1 module, a 1.3 mega pixel webcam, sunlight viewable touchscreen display, built-in 3G broadband module, solid state drives and encrypted hard drives. The Durabook D-S14M Rugged Field Pro is encased in magnesium alloy to protect the unit’s vital components and is tested to MIL-STD 810G specification for drop, shock and spill protection to insure the systems reliability in the field.
