The New Durabook DPS-U12Ci Rugged 12.1" Public Safety Field Pro Convertible Notebook/Tablet PC with Digitizer display for signature capture incorporates the latest Intel mobile technology and is built to Military 810G standards and includes dust, sand and water protection. The DPS-U12Ci is the perfect companion for mobile power users on the go. The DPS-U12Ci features a 12.1” WXGA Touch Screen TFT LED backlight display which quickly converts into a Tablet PC. This lightweight powerhouse is encased in magnesium and has been tested to MIL-STD-810G standards for drop, shock, and spill protection. And all of the unit’s I/O ports are covered to protect from the hazards of dirt and dust. The unit is powered by the Intel i5 processor to maximize speed and data management. In addition, the DPS-U12Ci comes with a hard handle making portability a snap.
This rugged convertible notebook/tablet PC is ideal for mobile professionals including military, police, fire, ems, construction, utility, transportation, aviation, and marine workers wanting ultra-mobility, a touchscreen display, power, performance and security all in a rugged design. As with all Durabooks, the DPS-U12Ci is built tough to survive under real world and adverse conditions. The Durabook Rugged Convertible is designed to protect the system's vital components from damage due to drop and shock. The Durabook's anti-shock mounting design protects the device's LCD and hard drive from damage and data loss. The Durabook Rugged Convertible provides protection from dust and water and is designed to protect the interior components from adverse environments. The unit also includes input/output port rubber caps to provide for dust resistance.
The Durabook Rugged Convertible is powered by the Intel Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge mobile technology providing for performance boost and power management. The DPS-U12Ci features a 12.1” LED WXGA shock resistant touch screen display with graphic resolution up to 1280X800. The on-screen graphics is driven by Intel Integrated Graphics.
Data security features in the Durabook Rugged Convertible include a smart card reader and TPM 1.2 technology that help secure important data. Other security features include
the Kensington Lock port, Administrator Password / Boot password, Computrace BIOS ready, SmartCard / CAC Reader, and Fingerprint Scanner.
The DPS-U12Ci also includes an e-SATA/USB 2.0 Combo connector, one additional USB 2.0 port, a SD Card reader, one Express 34 card slot, and a VGA port for an external monitor or projector. Optional features include a sunlight viewable touch screen display, built-in BlueTooth, built-in GPS, 3G broadband module, and RS-232 serial port.
